A walk through…

By Sarah Hope on April 19, 2013

Starting this blog is all about a passion for life around me. As a writer and artist,  my brain feeds on visual stimuli.  I have a rather incurable addiction to house and garden magazines inherited from my grandmother and mother. I pour over the many clever pages, feeling their glossiness, dog-earing favourite pages and settling into an armchair, where I escape for a time. I am excited by by simple, enduring style, not so much fashion.  I see the beauty in a smooth stone picked from a river bed, just as I do a drop-dead gorgeous interior or garden. I love the tactile properties of chunky paint, light-filled lofty spaces with high ceilings and talking to people. I love dreaming, planning and perusing. As I travel through life, I want to leave a trail of little pockets of inspiration for others to enjoy. Ever since I was a child, I’ve created little vignettes – from my bedroom to my home and finally to a retail space over the last couple of years….I’m hoping this is what my ‘footprint’ will be – a journey exploring art, people, places and interiors. From the wide open spaces of Australia, next week I fly to Italy…let the journey begin!

I love the way you entwine words together. I feel a kindred spirit at hand. Your painting gives room to sit and dream and that living room is devine 😍
